It works but its a bit of a bummer, snap turning doesn't work and you need to bring your own solution to it. The VR mode in this game is listed as experimental as you boot it from desktop, support for the HP G2 and WMR/Oculus style controllers are limited to community bindings. Played with the HP Reverb G2 and drop 50 mins in and pick up again the normal non-vr way.
